I now have wrapping paper available at my Spoonflower shop!

I am so thrilled to announce that a few days ago Spoonflower revealed that they have added wrapping paper to their roster of print on demand items and after having adjusted all my designs over there accordingly now I can offer my work as wrapping paper too - yea!!!!

Here's a little sampling of my designs in repeat - as you can see they are quite varied in style - some days I like to create illustration style designs, some days I'm happy to do geometrics both of which are fun and challenging for me to create. If you ever see a design of mine that isn't being offered over at Spoonflower but you are interested in it as either fabric, wallpaper, decals or wrapping paper please just drop me a line via the "Be in touch" heading above.
"Blue Rhapsody"
"Pink Rolling Star Quilt"

"Europa"
"Just Call Me Cupcake"
There's a clever little button on the giftwrap page of each design which when you click it gives you the design to scale on a package thus:
"Country Days Zig Zag"
Here is a link to my SPOONFLOWER SHOP

I recently added a listing and links to all of my online shops to this blog - look above and click on My Online Stores to view my online arcade :)

Thanks for stopping by - see you soon - Patricia

Pretty Snow Day in Maine

Yesterday the snow fell quietly, consistently and very prettily all day long - the wind barely blew and I couldn't resist going for walk in the late afternoon - my favourite time of the day in a snowfall.
The 'enchanted forest' - a small patch of old locust trees, beside our house is so other worldly in a snowfall - the trees are gnarly and twisted and their branches catch the snow in pretty, elegant  patterns. These woods are full of an eerie presence yet remain somehow comforting and cosy.

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
by Robert Frost (1923)

Whose woods these are these I think I know

His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
I always expect to see the Narnia lamppost here and wonder if the White Witch will swish by bearing Turkish Delight - you know I wouldn't resist - especially the rose flavoured kind.

Autumn arrives right on cue - let the show begin!

I'm wondering what this Autumn/Fall will be like in terms of colour as the seasons thus far have been about 2-3 weeks ahead of normal but look, it's already off to a great start.
Some trees have small patches of colour but most are still all green and today the skies are as blue as blue can be - just gorgeous.

And the asters/Michaelmas daisies continue their glowing show

The Pee gee hydrangea flowers are turning ever more pink...
...and their resident spiders are spinning their webs ready for Hallowe'en
I don't know who this little guy is among the grape leaves but for the longest time I thought it was a bird scraucking out there - he has such a big voice for such a little frog but I love him.
There's lots of this on Blueberry Hill but I don't know what it is - the acid yellow against the maroon bark is impressive.

Rowan berries on the Mountain Ash - this year they are not as plentiful - usually they produce very full, umbrella wands of berries.

...and my pink Clara Curtis chrysanthemum - usually these don't even get a chance to be photographed as the slugs and snails eagerly await their arrival - this year there have been loads upon loads of said slugs and snails - they must be full from eating all the strawberries, tomatoes and the like I have heard so many people mention.

HAPPY AUTUMN EVERYONE
I'll continue to photograph as the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness progresses :)
