Your vote please :)

If you have the time - a few minutes perhaps - would you be so kind as to vote for my "Fragmentation Sunburst" design for this week's challenge over at Spoonflower - thanks in advance :) Voting closes at 3pm eastern Tuesday Nov. 14th

I haven't entered a challenge for a while as I like to do ones that I am excited by that I think will either be a good addition to my design portfolio or will actually challenge me creatively. I loved this particular design challenge as it was for a large scale pattern and I do so love large scale!

Here's how the design looks on the wonderful new bedding at Roostery
and I've loaded the design into my REDBUBBLE shop already too - click HERE
.....where you can avail yourself of a lovely large CHIFFON SCARF for yourself or as a gift for a friend

My newest online shop with intro offer 20% off 'til July 7th

I am so very excited as I have a new print on demand, custom made to order online shop under the manufacturing auspices of Contrado. Based in London UK, where all the products are hand made just for you, it is nice to now have a shop on the other side of the pond so my UK and European customers will pay lower shipping costs and avoid the possibility of duties on their purchases.
Contrado is a privately held company which pays a great deal of attention to the making of their items and they afford me, as a designer, some really fantastic and almost endless possibilities to create custom made items that are unique in the market and fun to design.

Here are a few of the new items I have already added - I am slowly adding all my patterns and illustrations - you can look in my Spoonflower shop to see all the patterns I will be adding and, as always, please feel free to ask me to mock up a design on an item you would like to see that isn't already in the new shop.

I am thrilled to be able to offer carry on sized suitcases in all my patterns - they are 22'' x 9'' x 14'' inches, weight 7.5 lb with a capacity of 13.7 gallons, have TAS locks, an adjustable handle, 2 internal mesh zip pockets, a double zip opening and internal straps to keep your baggage in place and secure no matter where it ends up. They are of strong design with 8 well swivelling wheels making them easy to manoeuver. AND they have a 3 year guarantee on print, and product structure. The plastic shell is polycarbonate, which is really hard wearing. The print finish (only on the front the back is shiny black) is under a plexiglass shell which has been tested for scratch resistance and under normal usage performed very well..especially with it being a carry on where you can have more control over how the suitcase is handled, but as with everything printed the gentler you treat it the longer it will last. Customers have reported being very pleased with it when they have used it for frequent travel. Can't wait to get designing more of these fun items - you'll always be able to spot your luggage when it has one of my bright and colourful designs!

Wild, whacky and wondrous Espadrilles - even the insoles are printed with mix and match - although I do have more 'ordinary' ones too where the shoes are the same for each foot :)

Really nicely made hoodies in a smooth terry cloth fabric - the sleeves, front, back, hood and hood lining are all printed separately and thus I can design REALLY unique items with co-ordinated patterns for each individual template. So nice the hood is lined too!
My cut and sew long sleeves are similar in that I can co-ordinate the patterns for front, back, sleeves and neck binding.

Gorgeous Sarongs for that dream vacation or honeymoon - in floaty chiffon or silk sensation that dry easily and stay colorfast. Available in half or full length. Some people call these fabric wraps, cover ups, pareo wraps, even sarong skirt or dress. Beautiful and super useful, they always look stylish due to the number of ways you can wear them. Perfect as a beachwear accessory and looks fab paired with a trendy baseball cap and co-ordinated swimsuit. The print will stay true and colorfast for 2 years guaranteed.

Swimsuits in soft and durable lycra - there's even a sparkly option, the one I would always choose - have a scoop neckline and low-cut back, sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL plus size swimwear with a 2 year guarantee on print, material and stitching finish. This stylish piece will see you through many summers at the beach and pool. This is a tight figure-hugging garment. For a looser fit we would recommend choosing the Lycra Sheen as this has a lot more stretch and movement.

10 section Baseball Caps with a curved peak. Cut and sewn by hand with an adjustable covered Velcro closure. Even the underside of the peak is printed. Available in 2 sizes. Made from twill fabric, which ensures that it prints with extremely high quality. The crisp white base creates a strong contrast to the bright vibrant range of colors of  my prints. The final print produces very fine and intricate lines. These fun, fun, fun and unique Baseball Hats are tough and strong. Wipe clean is the recommended cleaning procedure.

The honour of your vote is once again graciously requested - plus new items and designs

There are quite the number of entries to this popular "Mandala" challenge this week so get yourself a cuppa and settle down before you vote. As usual I had great fun designing this pattern and am pleased with the result of the layout I entered to Spoonflower.
Many thanks in advance for your time!

The March challenges for Spoonflower were right up my street as they were all based on geometry and for someone who fell asleep during maths class every time it is quite funny that I end up doing a lot of geometry and calculating in my artwork. There is one more geometric design I'll be doing for the challenge the week after next - based on hexagons - I will start that design today and see where it leads me!

In the meantime I am starting to populate my online shops with collections based on my Coronet Mandala pattern which, as you well know if you're familiar with my work, I love to mix and match with other backgrounds and motifs from previous designs - here are links to the start of those groupings
(click on the shop name below the image to go directly to the collections)

and I will be adding this collection to my ARTofWHERE shop shortly

Durable Isobar wallpaper is now available in my
"A versatile custom-printed wallpaper with a stunning subtle leathered texture.
Custom printed Isobar Durable will bring a splash of color and sophistication to any residential or commercial space with it’s low-sheen matte finish.
Isobar Durable features scrub and scratch resistant performance making it ideal for use in all environments subject to wear and tear, from playrooms and bathrooms to restaurants and office spaces. This PVC-free, FSC Certified wallpaper also features mold, mildew and water resistance.
Isobar un-pasted double rolls measure 25” wide by 27’ long and are designed to be double-cut for a final install width of 24”. We recommend you work with a professional paper installer for consultation, estimation and installation."

and in my CURIOOS shop I have a wonderful die-cut metal print available "Rainbow Candy Geometric" - unique and in a limited quantity
All the grey spaces you see between the shapes are actually cut outs in the metal!

On a totally different tack I think I have found the car of my dreams - I kept seeing this cute little vehicle on Instagram posts and went on a Google search to find out it is a Nissan Figaro - I don't think they make them anymore but they did come in such lovely pastel colours - and here of course is my fave - the perfect pink.

Thanks for reading and be in touch - I'll be posting my Hexagon design in a couple of weeks - thanks so much for taking the time to vote for me this week - I do appreciate it SO MUCH

The latest challenge at Spoonflower....

Here above is my latest design "LEIA" in a nod of respect to the recently passed Princess - my entry for this weeks Spoonflower challenge for "MOSAICS" - I started off below - very laboriously and monotonously painting individual squares and developed them into motifs which I scanned and then created the final repeat in Photoshop - also a tad tedious but I ended up with a design I am really pleased with that looks, to me, like glass tiles - not my intention but a happy serendipitous result. A few people have mentioned it reminds them of cross stitch - which is just fine and dandy with me too.
If you have the time and inclination I would so appreciate your vote
no need to sign in - thanks so much in advance :)

Here is a pic of my feature in UPPERCASE magazine - I am so appreciate to Janine Vangool - the publisher - for including me in this lovely jam packed full of surface design eye candy magazine
And here is a picture of the latest watercolour hand painted design I have featured in my print on demand online shops - click each shop name to go to PARTERRE (a level space in a garden or yard occupied by an ornamental arrangement of flower beds) BOTANIQUE:

My next design is on the watercolour block and I'll be submitting it to the Spoonflower challenge for next week - the call is for Mandalas - a particular favourite of mine so wish me luck with the paint up and I'll be in touch to ask for your kind vote once again - 'til then my thanks

Happy New Year, thank you UPPERCASE and your vote please :)

I wish you all the very best of prosperity, health and happiness to you and yours in this coming year! My heartfelt thanks to all who have supported me and my work with encouragement, likes, faves, hearts, comments and purchases - 2016 was my best year yet!

Mine got off to an abfab start with the inclusion of my work in this simply fantastic surface design magazine

If you click HERE you can see a 'walk through' of this issue and with very adroit eyeballs you can catch my feature on page 76 on the left hand page and the inside column. What a deliciously, delightful, colour and pattern packed magazine - talk about eye candy!!
Thank you Janine Vangool for choosing me and my work!

Now onto the voting business of the new year - my first challenge entry at Spoonflower. The call was for a textile design featuring YARN - here's my pattern - all originally hand painted in watercolour on paper.
A trompe l'oeil depiction of a simple Fair Isle knitting pattern - I had planned a much more complex striped design but quickly realized I had bitten off more than I could chew for the deadline so I stayed simple and am now creating more complex and coordinated motifs and patterns to add to my Spoonflower and other POD (print on demand) shops.

Please may I ask you most kindly to
***You don't have to sign in to vote

***You can vote for as many designs as you like

***The order shuffles for each voter
***You can only vote once :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to vote for me - appreciatively

I have also succumbed and joined INSTAGRAM as DesignConfections (every version of my name was already taken) - so please join me here by clicking on my 'new' name above.
