I am no longer doing recipes on this blog - my design work is taking up all my time - hooray but here's a list of all the recipes for you to enjoy!

YULE LOG/BUCHE DE NOEL -  a chocolate Swiss roll covered in buttercream and adorned with charming meringue mushrooms

GOLDEN CHRISTMAS CAKE: A last minute Christmas cake that doesn't need to be 'matured' - delicious!!

SIMNEL CAKE - a traditional Easter cake - fruit cake with a layer of marzipan in the middle and lots of marzipan on top - it's fantastic!!

COFFEE WALNUT CAKE: Another British classic!

ROCK CAKES - a simple, quick recipe that reminds me of my childhood

VICTORIA SPONGE with STRAWBERRIES - another classic British summer time dessert.

WELSH HONEY CAKES: Simple, unassuming but sublime - transcends the sum of their parts - for Saint David's Day 

IRISH MARMALADE CAKE: another winner! 

LEMON< LEMON< LEMON CAKE: A moist and luscious Lemon Cake made with a whole boiled, chopped lemon in the batter - DEEEElicious!! 

TWICE BAKED BANANA CAKE WITH FRANGIPANE TOPPING - deliciously delicate and better the second day! 

STICKY TOFFEE PEAR and GINGERBREAD UPSIDE DOWN CAKE PUDDING - it's as good as it sounds! 

BARM BRACK -  an Irish  yeasted raisin studded loaf - perfect for slicing, toasting and slathering in butter on a rainy afternoon

BARA BRITH - an excellent Welsh teabread - very simple one bowl recipe - has no butter. 

PRUNE LEMON and GINGER TEACAKE - as good as it sounds! 

STEAMED PUDDINGS:

STEAMED APRICOT PUDDING - a standard steamed pudding with a layer of apricot on the top.

CABINET or ANTOINETTE PUDDING: An elaborate confection of genoise cake layered with dried fruits, baked in a custard and served cold with whipped cream furbelows - simply divine! 

BITTERSWEET STEAMED CHOCOLATE ORANGE PUDDING - very delicious and very pretty

SNOWDON PUDDING/ PWDIN ERYRI - Welsh steamed pudding made with breadcrumbs, lemon marmalade and raisins - with lemon toffee sauce

SPOTTED DICK/DOG - A Dickensian classic - steamed pudding spotted with raisins.

STEAMED TREACLE PUDDING - a stick to your ribs winter pudding. 

SUSSEX POND PUDDING:  A curiosity of lemons, and other citrus fruit if you like, encased in a suet pudding crust, steamed and pouring forth a pond of sauce when opened - different and very old.   

CLONLARA APPLE PUDDING: A suet steamed pudding filled with windfall apples

CHRISTMAS PUDDING - what more can I say!

NEW ENGLAND CHRISTMAS PUDDING - with pumpkin and cranberry - really good twist on an old classic

JAM ROLY POLY with CUSTARD - doesn't get more stick to your ribs stodgy than this!! 

STEAMED CRANBERRY PUDDING with HONEY SAUCE 

APRICOT HOLIDAY STEAMED PUDDING: Good for Thanksgiving or Christmas

BANOFFEE PIE!!!
Dulche de Leche, Bananas and clouds of Whipped Cream!!WINDFALL APPLE PIE: made with an apple sauce filling - most unusual. 

MAINE WILD BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE TART - the title says it all.

SIMPLE STRAWBERRY TARTS - strawberries and white chocolate cream - a summer delight.

COVENTRY TARTLETS:  Old fashioned cheesecakes in a pastry shell

MAPLE WALNUT PIECAKE:  A cake baked in a pie for Kate and William's wedding - REALLY good!!! 

BAKEWELL TART/PUDDING - the iconic dessert from Bakewell, Derbyshire - almonds, jam, pie..

KENTISH PUDDING: Actually a pie with a filling of rice flour, milk and raisins - another winner!!

RHUBARB CURD TARTLETS with meringue hats

POTATO and APPLE CAKE - but honestly it's really a pie, kind of...

APPLE PIE with CHEESE CRUST - just waht it sounds like but it is upside down.

MINCE PIES with HAIRDOS: vegetarian mincemeat and meringue tops also known as Mince Pies Royale

ROMANTIC ROSE GERANIUM PIE - a delicate confection with a whisper of rose geranium and buttermilk.

TREACLE TART - actually made with Golden Syrup - toothachingly sweet but delicious none the same

APPLE, MINCEMEAT AND FRANGIPANE GALLETTE - a WINNER, so very very good!! 

STILTON CHEESE and RHUBARB TART: Lightly sweet, intriguing but not sure if I'd make this again. 

QUINCE FRANGIPANE TART: Fragrant quince and almonds

THE BEST APPLE GALETTE EVER: Seriously!! It's fantastic... 

CONTINENTAL APPLE SLICE: A custardy apple confection atop a biscuit/cookie base

RHUBARB MERINGUE PIE - just like it sounds, a ice change from lemon! 

SIMPLE SUBLIME MAPLE SYRUP MINI TARTS - divine!!!! 

RHUBARB and CUSTARD TART with CREAM CHEESE TOPPING - delicious and pretty simple

BISCUITS:
MELTING MOMENTS/VIENNESE SWIRLS: Two vanilla sandy type biscuits/cookies sandwiched with buttercream - very sweet, very melting, very good!

EARL GREY CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES and BISCUITS/COOKIES 

FLAPJACKS: SOOOO GOOOOODDD!!! A very simple oat and golden syrup biscuit/cookie - not a pancake for the US visitors :)

FLORENTINES: Christmassy goodness, a lacy biscuit studded with dried fruits 

BRANDY SNAPS: Another Christmas delight - lacy, crunchy, tricky to make delights

SABLE BISCUITS/COOKIES - a light, melting lovely 

MISCELLANEOUS:
WELSH CAKES - sweet, buttery - lovely, a nice breakfast treat!! 

APPLE PARKIN SLICE: Simple oaty apple-y goodness

APPLE and LEMON CURD: An unusual twist on the usual lemon 

STICKY TOFFEE MAPLE SYRUP STICKY BUNS: what more can I say - these work beautifully - a great recipe. 

BROWN BREAD ICE CREAM: Crunchy bits of buttery, sugar breadcrumbs with a hint of cinnamon in a lovely egg custard ice cream base - here comes summer! 

APPLE TURNOVERS with GLACEED APPLE SLICES - the slices are AMAZING!!!

SOLAR COOKED RICE PUDDING: Yes I managed to cook rice pudding in a solar cooker in Maine and it was the BEST rice pudding I've ever had!!!

BLUEBERRY and APPLE CHARLOTTE made with solar baked bread!!

ETON MESS - a wonderful summer delight - meringues, cream and sweetened fruit - ahhhh.....

BRITISH PANCAKES - Crepelike pancakes with butter, sugar and lemon or jam!!  

WHIM WHAM - raspberry fool...iconic British dessert 

RHUBARB MINTADE 

TREACLE TOFFEE - for Bonfire Night November 5th

HOT CROSS BUN BREAD  and BUTTER PUDDING - it's a winner!!

RHUBARB and RAISIN SQUARES - a layer of luscious rhubarb and raisins sandwiched between two layers of pastry

RHUBARB SORBET

BLUEBERRY PAVLOVA: Blueberry curd in a meringue nest

BILLIONAIRES or MILLIONAIRES SHORTBREAD - Shortbread, English fudge and chocolate layers - OMGoodness....

PUMPKIN CUSTARDS: FRUIT STUDDED CUSTARD BAKED IN PIE PUMPKINS - These are FANTASTIC - do try them. 

PEACH LAVENDER JAM ROLY POLY QUEEN OF PUDDINGS Pudding in honour of the new Downton Abbey series - a bit of Upstairs Downstairs tongue in cheek SHEAnanigans!!

JELLY and BLANCMANGE - an old fashioned nursery treat updated for Valentine's Day 

COEUR  a la CREME: for Easter - akin to Pashka 

CORNISH STRAWBERRY PUFFS  or HALF MOON TOFFEE PASTIES: Hand pies fried in caramel syrup

SUMMER PUDDING - SOOOO simple, elegant, easy and DIVINE - totally belies the sum of it's parts!!! Do try this one.

ROSE GERANIUM LEMONADE

EASY PEASY STRAWBERRY ALMOND SCRUNCH -  oats, almond, strawberries, yoghourt and cream - what's not to like, a great summer dessert.

POSSETT - an Elizabethan delight - 4 ingredients - very simple, very elegant - a delicate, creamy dessert like set custard

EARL GREY POSSETT - possible even more sublime the the basic possett above.

MONMOUTH PUDDING - a pudding made with breadcrumbs and buttermilk with jam and a meringue top - baked.

TOFFEE APPLES - seemingly simple but quite hard to do

TEA BABAS - as opposed to the usual rum - really good!!! 

MANCHESTER/QUEEN OF PUDDINGS - with rhubarb instead of the usual jam

BRAMBLE SHAKER QUAKER PUDDING -  a little like a clafouti

TRIFLE: cherry jelly, crystallized ginger, custard, whipped cream - oh my!!!

STRAWBERRY CHARLOTTE with Roses de Reims biscuits

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR 

BEST NO KNEAD BREAD from King Arthur Flour

MINI CHRISTMAS PUDDING DRIED FRUIT BALLS: Simple and wonderfully delicious!

STICKY YORKSHIRE PARKIN: with a luscious sticky toffee treacle sauce on the top - great for Bonfire Night!

DEVON CREAM SPLITS: Light, airy and delicious with a dollop of cream and a smattering of jam 

SUMMER into AUTUMN PUDDING : Same as summer pudding but with blueberries and apples instead of strawberries/raspberries.

ECCLES CAKES PERFECTED - heavens they're good!!!

RHUBARB and CUSTARD SWISS ROLL - Genoise cake, custard and whipped cream combined and rhubarb curd - what's not to like!
